Another w-30 convt 4 speed coming soon

This car is now in the process of restoration. Neat way to start the restoration process. I know the car from 25 years ago when Keith K. owned it. Great to see it in good hands. Real and a 4 speed too. Lee

Would the Keith K. you know happen to be Keith Kidd? I have a car that he owned in the 80's that im trying to trace back. And he is my dead end. It is a 70 w30 4 spd black with white stripes and white top. It came out of pheniox AZ in 86. It is said to be originally out of southern Cal. any help would be great.

Yes - that's the car that was advertised recently on 442.com. Started out at $110 or 125K. Ad stated the car had a lot of NOS parts with it which I saw when a friend got the list.

Cool deal....here's another one that will be shown once it's done....not hidden away in some "secretive" collection. My bet is the Olds Nationals this year. Also neat to see some of these cars being done that aren't the more common colors.

At this rate we're gonna swear these '70 W30 4 spd rags are growing on trees!!

Yes it will be done faster than anyone could restore a car. I sent him a note to see if it will be at the Detroit Autorama in February.

70Post, if your car is out of California it will have the weird smog stuff that my car has. Original California cars are easy to spot and very few came this direction too. Even if it has been messed with it will at least have an extra fuel line that other w-30s don't have.

The Arizona w-30 folks are a small group. It is similar to the California w-30 people/very few back in the day. Dave Blake was one of the big Arizona collectors back years ago. Also Fred M lives in Scottsdale and knows lots of the collectors. Keith K is not the same Keith, sorry.

Can I get those guys to fly into Maryland and do some work for me? Ha-Ha, I would need to take out a mortgage on some real estate to compensate them fairly.
Besides, there is NOTHING like busting your knuckles and getting dirt in you eyes!!! Cool post, Lee.
Looks like you might have some competition on the W-30 show circuit.
Bye for now, Dave.

Even at $100 per hour it only took 4 minutes to take that car apart X 6 people. That is going to be an inexpensive build.

It is nice that Oldsmobiles are getting decent press, getting good auction prices and being recognized for the great cars performance or not during their 100+ year of transporting us. Yes I am sure thousands of people will get to appreciate this car when finished. Lee
