About to start my 72 Cutlass Supreme

Well the journey is about to start as you see I've made it to the frame. As soon as I get everything pressure washed I'll be pulling the springs then engine and trany. I'm hoping to have it down to the last bolt in a couple of weeks.
Here is the first of many questions. I want to replace all the bushings with neoprene. New springs, ball joints and the such. Who is a good vender to buy all of my suspension parts from?

Thank you, I'm looking at it taking two to four years pending funds and time.

I sure hope you took plenty of pictures when you were tearing it down. A year or 2? You might find that ambitious after awhile. Usually most folks budget that and then end up doubling it in practicality. Good luck with the build though.

Why neoprene bushings? The standard rubber ones work just as well, if not better IMO. There are lots of vendors for the parts you want, but RR has suggested good starting places.

Yes I took a lot of pictures and I also have all the manuals. I even took some video on the critical stuff.

You bring up a good point about Polyurethane (is what I meant) vs. Rubber? I have heard that it tightens up the suspension and takes out some of the roll. I'm all for saving money. I would like to hear more about the +'s and -'s between the two

I am not going to push it on the time I really meant 2 to 4 years had a brain fart there. No matter I don't need the car and I want it as good as I can afford in time and $$.

The main reason I didn't go with polyurethane bushings was I didn't want to have to deal with the squeaking that sometime goes along with them. You can look it up plenty of others have had problems with that. Also the poly will ride a bit harsher than the rubber ones. As for suspension parts I found the best deals on rock auto and I bought moog everything.

Good luck with the car. I love Supremes. I have been restoring mine for over 18 months now. I work on it about 8 hours a week average. some more some less. I did take six months to remodel a bathroom to keep the wife happy. I am almost ready for paint, but I left the body on and my suspension was in good shape to begin with .

Thanks for the notice, I hate squeaks, looks like that will save a few bucks. I'm not building a race car, so it makes sense to stay OEM.
