.931 lifter needed for 1967 Toranado 425 cu in

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site and appreciate any and all information that anyone can offer. I have a 1967 Oldsmobile Toranado 425 cu in engine that we are rebuilding. I am in need of two lifters that are of a different bore diameter. The stock lifter diameter for this engine is .921 in. But... we have two lifters on this engine that have a diameter of .931 in. I am assuming that from factory if a lifter bore was misbored they just oversize the bore .010 oversize. There is a paint marking of .010 next to the oversized bores in the block valley. Therefore there is 2 lifters that have the .931 in diameter lifters and the rest have the stock .921 in diameters. So that being said, does anyone know where I can locate lifters available with the .931 in diameter? I know they have sleeves one can over bore and press them in to accomodate a stock lifter. But, if I can find 2 .931 in lifters it would be much easier.
Thank you all for any information.

I dont know if this will help in your search but the GM part number is (was) 5232436

That is from a 1972 GM parts book. Very last line on this page:

I assume you rebuilt the engine and need new lifters. If you still have the old lifters you can have them reground.

Thanks for the replies. I am the second person on this project. Prior to me they had 3 bad lifters. Therefore they installed all new lifters in this 1967 Olds Toranado 425 motor which stock lifters are .921 in. Realizing that 2 lifter bores were machined out .010 in. over, things went together. Not to bore anyone with a long story, but now we have it and the old lifters were thrown. If I just had the old lifter bodies I could transfer the inner components to make it work. As you mentioned, I also could have had them polished. Anyway Oldsmobile made oversized lifters for them back in the day. I am just hoping someone out there may have 2 NOS .931 lifters out there. Another note I do have a contact that makes sleeves to machine into the block which requires machining, but an oversized lifter would be much easier. I'm still searching.
Again, Thank you all
