72 cutlass s shifters

I have the option to install either the regular standard shifter,or the hurst dual-gate in my project.I was lucky enough to find a guy who had both shifters and both console's with a aftermarket ram air hood and ran away from him paying 600 for all.Now im wondering what to run in my conversion to floor shift. The standard shifter is in good shape ready to install and go while the dual gate looks to be in good shape (a lil rusty ) still shifts good after a wd-40 bath.Im thinking about sending the DG to hurst to get refurbished. Is it worth the trouble? is it just a nice piece to have or is it a real rare option that's worth the effort?

Personal preference, but I think the dual gate is one of those cool options that set a car apart from the crowd. Yes, I'd clean up the dual gate and install that! John

You got to come with the Dual gate, its a lot cleaner than the regular shifter. Just find out what the best technique is for cleaning and lube. You also can't use the regular shifter cable, it has to be the Dual Gate version. Get the tooth brush out & put in a little work!

Do you still have the single shifter and console? Would you be willing to sell it?
