69 W-Machine finally starting to come together

Day 1

Nice to find the original untouched fenders with the W30 markings. Also 80 written under the w30 of one fender, and 90 on the other.

W30 markings on front of fenders also
I had to make a new username since i forgot all my info for my previous one from years ago, but i finally managed to find time to spray the 69 w30 in my garage and now comes the assembly process. Im very happy with the turnout so far.

All that yellowish color was some type of high build primer over a reddish primer that the previous owner put on the car. So yeah, LOTS of primer over the original paint, lol. It is a 65 B car, so it is topaz with a black vinyl top.

Thanks. Im not a big fan of some of the gold colored cars ive seen, but this topaz color is growing on me, especially with the black accents. I am still debating if i will go with the original argent color on the ss2 wheels or do them body color. Im leaning towards body color since i some dealers and owners sprayed them body color after delivery so i should be able to get away with it without too many critics and bashers giving me a hard time, lol.

Nice I like the gold cars, but I can't recall ever seeing topaz before, it looks nice can't wait to see it reassembled.

Those painted ss2’s really make it pop in your pic. Yeah, im pretty sure that will be my choice. I think the wide oval redlines i have should go well with the topaz.

Thanks. The new SS1s did change the personality. I'm not sold on them and they are not growing on me as well as I thought they would.
I'm hunting down a set of 15" SS2s. When and if I do locate a good set of 5 I will put them back on, in red of course.
I also have a set of 4 15" Cragar SSs NIB that I will put on it too. GF says I have shoe problem as she does. She gets excited when I go shoe shopping. Car girl all the way. Keeper she is.
