67 f-85

I picked up this car as someone else's unfinished project. Body has been off the frame, frame stripped and painted. All new suspension. Floor pan and trunk pan had been replaced. Body wás straight and rust free other than a dent in the right fender from being in storage. Bumpers had been rechromed.
I've had it for almost 4years but due to finishing another project (64 Pontiac Tempest) I just recently had a chance to get started on it.
Had 4 wheel drum and switched to power front disc and rebuilt the rear drums. All new lines.
Got a almost complete 350, needed carb and starter and a 350 transmission.
Has a nice bench seat and rear seat but plan on switching to buckets and console
Have power windows to put in.
Started working on it in December and should be able to hear it run by the end of February. How she looked when I brung her home

Sounds like a nice place to start. Straight body, already has the chassis up to spec...you're a paint job away from gorgeous.

Love it, but I'm partial to 67's. Is that rose color original to the car?

Oldcutlass, no not an original color. Actually the car had been repainted red and that is what it looks like after being sanded on. I'll be happy to get it all one color-even if it's only primer, lol.

power windows

I need to replace a window roller. Found some on eBay with rivets. How hard are they to change? Any tips on doing it?

According to the specs, the A31 power side windows option was available on post cars as well as hardtops, but not on an F85. However, this shouldn't hinder the man as it should plug in, being the same sheetmetal.

ive seen them, just so rare...i mean 2 or 3 in my life..

and they are unique to post cars on the rear regulators..post car only...the fronts interchange with hard top regs....they are so rare, a buddy of mine reproduced the rear window regs...and died before he got them to market...and he had 14 orders at 2k a set...

so rare...and so cool

Looks like a great project, my 67C/S is still in the works, what size tires are you going with in the front? Had issues in the past with 15" hitting the wheel well, and then saw people running large ones?

Good luck Brian

15" is the rim size and has nothing to do with body interference. The overall diameter of the tire is what causes the problem.
