Nice cars.

The black one completed June '09, do you remember what size wheels and tires were on it? I really like the whole look of that car.

Great looking cars! I really like the one currently under construction.

I think a guy with a sienna '71 442 who lives in your vicinity told me about that black F-85 Ram Rod 3 or 4 years ago. I'll assume there aren't that many of those in that upper NE quadrant of the state.

hmm......

i'm pretty sure the rims are 17x8 (don't remember backspacing). front tires are 255/55/17, rears 275/55/17. the rears did rub a little though.

Not surprising. I was checking out his 442 that was parked in the registration lot at the '07 GM Nats at Carlisle as I was leaving in my SX. He showed up and started giving me some generally unbelievable BS about the history and purchase of his 442 (which was extremely nice) and eventually I decided he was just fooling with me, saying that he knew about a black F-85 RamRod post coupe for sale to see what I'd say.

Is that a factory shade of blue? I like that color and its hard to tell online what shade it is when you compare it to a paint chip. Also love the stance and wheel/tire combo of the black car. It's badass.

and as if we haven't done enough of them already, 68 #6 (in a row) is in the background of the third pic.

Those are all really beautiful cars. I would be happy to take any one of them home!

P.S. What are the rims on #4. Do you have a clear picture of them?

#6 (68 442 vert) is in the background in the 3rd pic of the maroon car. here's what it looked like when we brought it home to start the restoration. right now, it's the wrong color. it'll look pretty much just like the teal 442 above (which is the correct color for the vert), exterior and interior, except for the white top and fender stripes.

The aftermarket wheels are - Motor Wheel Corp. "SPYDER WHEELS", same company that made many factory wheels including the SSIs for Oldsmobile. They were based in Lansing, MI.

Do you have more pics on a website or that you can share? The underhood W car shots are helpful. Do you do the paint and body? They all look great.
Also how big is your shop? Looks like there is room to get alot of work done.
Matt

Thanks for the info on the rims, they really complement the car and look different than any others I have seen.

no, we don't have a website. just a father and son deal building cars out of 2 bays of a 4 car garage. we don't advertise or anything like that. maybe i could work on a photobucket slideshow or something like that to show you more pics.

other than rebuilding engines, transmissions and rear ends, everything gets done in house, in 2 bays. body work, paint, chassis, interior, sandblasting (in the back yard), etc. there isn't much that we can't/don't do ourselves.

ya, the door panels, seat covers, and carpet. i pretty sure the headliners are REM (i can't remember ). you definately have to dick around with the stuff to make it fit, but once it's done the stuff looks good.

the last couple of cars we did we took the seats to a some what local guy to cover them. we try to cover them before ourselves, and they weren't made right, sewn right, and we'd end up taking them to him to have him alter the covers. so, we just take them right to him now. we don't even try to mess with them.
