455 Build

Just fired up my new 455. Swapped out my 350/TH350 with this and a TH400. Its in my 69 Cutlass with 3:42 rear.

Thanks to Mark Remmel for building the engine and I could not be happier with the outcome (right where I wanted to be HP/TQ wise for a street car). Great guy to work with - transparent and professional. It's a sizeable investment so Mark made sure he communicated with me during the entire build.

Sounds good looks good what kind of hp and tq did you end up with?

2 years ago I replaced my 350 w a 455 very happy w it. I also have a 3:42 posi I think I would enjoy that more w a 5 speed MT or 4 speed auto, I still have the th350.

Thanks,

I ended with 573 Hp and 652 Tq and man can you feel it. The responsiveness is the most impressive, but then again my little 350 is not much to compare it against.

I still have my 350 as well and am going to have mark build it and put it in my 68 convertible resto. Going with a 4 speed on this one

Those are really nice numbers. I have a 350 and I am thinking about going to a 455. Those kind of numbers fuel my swap thoughts. Just for clarification those a engine dyno numbers right?

Is that a Torker Intake? What exhaust are you running? It sounds great.

The intake is a polished performer. Running hooker super comp headers and flow master mufflers.

Any specs on the motor, looking to build one in future or possibly buy a crate motor. Would like to go with alum heads.

Thanks
