4 spd hump question

Restoring an original 70 4 spd car and am curious about the 4 spd hump. I have seen some originals cut out and for sale and also see that that they are reproduced. The reproductions look to be pretty good? but can't say from experience. I was thinking of replacing mine due to metal being a little thin in an area but contemplating now if I should try to use the original one instead of a reproduction piece? The price is <$100 for reproduction and original ones tend to be a bit more. The reproductions look to be accurate and want to know if anyone has experience with these?
This is something that is unseen if under a console and seems to me to fit and function the same?

See Joe’s (Costpenn) post #9 regarding reproductions.

Scrappie, just got my four speed hump for the 69, got it from parts place and it fits well, I have read a lot of guys modify the opening, but in dry fitting I may not have to? we will see and Ill keep you posted

Thanks Eddie,
I bought one from Fusicks. FYI there are some out there for around $30 that look pretty nice but you be surprised when it arrives to find out its plastic. I ordered one from AMD and nowhere did it say it was plastic. I was refunded $.
The one from Fusicks and probably other vendors is metal and compared to my original it looks exact. I have yet to install but dont forsee any issues.

Yes mine is metal its probably same as parts place! LOL... now if I can just get the mounting correct we will be somewhere, I tried one from inline tube, one from parts place, but the rods are turned all the way in and there still needs to be some adjustment, I might try the original mounting plate again LOL...
