Hello from chicago im bloody new to this forum .., i joined the forum in hope i can get help with my new boop snoot tank the custom cruiser.
just last week i purchased and drove it from new york to kentucky 900 miles , its such a dream owning and driving it ..
so i wanna fix her right up .. and i have some questions for you guys .
the rear door/tailgate/trunk :
1. the motorised door lock actuator module , is it the same as the front passenger and driver door ? (its not important because i will clean and refurbish the original)
2. the rubber / weatherstrip : this one i have the biggest trouble with , my rubber lip that is touching the sliding glass (outside) (the big chunky horizontal one) has hardened and is bad ...
does anyone have a source for a replacement ? i really want that one replaced
3. rear windows (behind rear doors) , their rubber seal that holds the glass to the chassis , any sources for that ?
the engine:
1. the valvetrain is chatty when i hit the throttle , are the valves/rockers adjustable ? (i have service manuals but id like to have someone who knows answer this one)
2. on cold start the engine idles unsteady (also check engine light is on) (yes i know i can bridge pins on the alcl (odb port) to get a readout)
what should i focus on ?
3. the engine feels weak (slow acceleration) but accellerates to max MPH fine (transmission behaves fine)
probably carb or vacuum (or egr ?) issues ?
(sidenote , oil is superclean , no white or blue smoke from exhaust)
seats:
1. im looking for a 3rd row seat does anyone sell me theirs ? or would anyone be willing to make me a on paper outline of the bottom and rear cusion frame so i could make one myself ?
