Finally got my 71 into the body shop to start my resto-mod. I will post pictures as it progresses through the process. Now I just have to find someone to redo the interior!
VERY NICE! I am curious about that yellow hood with the cowl intake. At first I thought it was a "flat hood" from a 70 Cutlass Supreme. I knew it wasn't the raised hood like on your blue 71 now. But then I looked back and see it is a 71-72 hood, only flat_ well I mean flat before the cowl scoop was added??? Or is that maybe a aftermarket hood made that way in fiberglass? I'm not really a fan of the Chevy style scoops on anything other than a Chebby, but I think that hood was well done. Though I still like your original hood much better. Love that Blue!!
Yes nice color, looks like those guys do some good work.
i like the original 71 side trim and wheel arch trim, a lot of times those get left off in a repaint, but they really add alot to these cars. The trunk letters too h although they look to straight compared to originals lol
the roof looked terrible (typical vinyl) in the first few pics but wow they did some nice work bringing that back.
any more work planned for the future?
any engine details i see some NOS parts under the hood.
i know its an olds forum but maybe just one more pic of the fairlane?
Thats a fiberglass hood that was on it. The guy had the original hood put away in storage. When I bought the car he gave me all the old original parts that they had taken off to save weight.
