Just ordered a complet interior in black from Legendary Interiors.
Playing with the idea of a colour change black with red stipes or platinum with black stripes
Just an idea for now

Alain,

Enjoying the updates!
Can you post pics of the clutch after you remove it? I want to see how bad it is case the car would barely move.
Here is an overhead shot for you.
Thanks.

Also thinking of putting red line tires on this project with the dog dish hub caps.
!970 Oldsmobile 442 base wheels and tires were white pinstripe tires
Opinions are welcomed

Did you the VIN stamped anywhere on the firewall under the heater box? I read once that the VIN is stamped into the firewall under there.

I have never seen a VIN stamped on the firewall of a GM a body for 1968 to 1972
I have seen it on Chrysler products top of firewall left hand side and rad support left hand side also
Also left side behind rear bumper Chrysler a and B body

69 chevelle vin stamp below blower motor hole on firewall:

The 67 camaro convertible I am working on right now has one as well in the same area. Can't remember if I bothered to look for them on my vista or holiday coupe

I found this on my 70 parts car and also faintly visible on my W30 car. I heard about this many years ago.
