Hello Sir, nice ride. I have the cowl tag information for you. The reference book is Car & Parts Magazine Catalog of American Car ID Numbers 1960-1969. I purchased it from half priced books here in Columbus Ohio. Here goes nothing.
You have a 1964 Cutlass convertible 64- 3267 *option 442 *Body-BF Assembly plant in Freemont, California. *Production Number-1055 *Trim – F85 Deluxe Trim Red*Paint Code- C1 Provincial White*.
This is all I can decipher at the present, there are engine details that I could provide but the cowl doesn’t go into further detail. I hope this helps. The engine codes for this model year are as follows:
Cutlass Engine Codes
TG …………..v8…………………..330 cid………………290Hp………………..Comp Ratio 10.25:1……4bc
TH …………..v8…………………..330 cid………………NA……………………….Comp Ratio 8.3:1………..4bc
*……………….v8……………………330 cid………………310Hp………………..Comp Ratio 10.25:1……4bc
*442 Option

1. I'm not clear on what you're referring to, but there is absolutely no reference to an "option 442" on that data plate.
2. That is 1065, not 1055, and that is the *body* sequence number at Fremont.
3. The Trim (965) is the interior. Red, yes, but not "F85 Deluxe"
5C means built 3rd week of May '65.
A after the 1C means black wheels, implying that it came with some type of full wheel covers.
(I'll have to dig up the info on A49 and B70 codes)
388 is the Manifest number (as found on the Build Sheet)

Unfortunately, that reference book is not a good source of information.

I´ve been searching for the wheel well moldings for a long time. Some show up on ebay now and then but usually go for very high prices. Rocker moldings are hard to find too, mine are decent so i´ll try to restore them.
Good luck on the project. Looks real nice.

A49 is "seat belts deluxe front" and B70 is "instrument panel, safety padded". I would be leary of The Bumper Boyz, as a '65 442 owner I talked to, pointed out flaking chrome the size of a quarter on his rear bumper that they did. A Red Wings fan? you in Michigan? Abdelkader is from my town.

Beautiful 64
Very nice, any updates? I'm just starting a 64 restoration. As far as Rocker Panel chrome and wheel well trim, try Frank at Billions and Trillions,
http://www.billionsandtrillionsinc.com/
He's expensive and a little wacky, but he came through for me with the wheel well trim. It did take about 6 weeks. He's an interesting guy.
Personally, I do not like bumper boyz. I know a few folks that have been very disappointed as the plating started to fail after a year. But I do not have any first hand experience. I'm using a guy down in Atlanta to staighten and plate mine.
Good luck and keep in touch. The thread for my build is in this forum, just started it today. Maybe you can answer my question about the plastic tabs in the wheels.

I hope that he had insurance. Pretty sure a business like that does. The owner is on Life support. This will take months or years to get a settlement.
Was on pace for a Spring finish, Interior parts and all were being accumulated and readied for completion.
If you have any oth these parts or know womeone who has any of this stuff please help me get this going again.
Thanks
Doug

What a shi..., it's so hard to find all these parts, it really hurts me, too. But since my philosophy is to see the good side, we are all glad that you were not in the building.
Good luck in finding the right parts,
Tom

Parts Parts Parts
Thankyou for the contacts! Have talked to two out of the three. I think that I will have all the parts rounded up here shortly. But at a cost
The car is worth ith though! It will be beautiful.
The seat covers and door panels arrived yesterday from Legendary and are gorgeous!
Off to the auto trim shop to drop them off

Legendary
Did Legendary do a complete build on the door panels, minus the chrome trim and emblem? Did they install the top piece and inner felts? It sounds like they came out nice. I have used Legendary for all of my interior soft trim, they are expensive, but the quality is great.

Legendary did a great job as usual. The door panels are exactly what you said minus the emblem and chrome strips. The seat covers are flat out gorgeous!
First time I have used them (prices) but I will ONLY use them after seeing this stuff! WOW!

Car leaves the garage Today
Car is at the shop. The goal will be to get it running. It has never had fluids in it even. Should be interesting. Then it is off to the interior shop. The goal will be to make it to Oldsmobile nationals next summer.
#33
Car is now running! The lights all work, The top goes up and down! runs strong! Sounds good! It has some leaking, seeping from the intake manifold. Will fix that then it is off to the interior shop by the first week in January! I am slowly gathering some needed parts. I will try and get some shots of underneath the car while it is on the hoist! This is really exciting!
#35
I was never compensated for my parts! I got the runaround and the EPA took over their insurance. My insurance company would not back my parts because the car is not insured. (It isn't even running, at the time) Oh well not enough money to go after them and ended up with some nicer parts than I gave them. I have just let it go, which is hard for me!

WHAT FUN! I drove the car today! No top, No seats! On a Crate
She now runs stops and the electricals all work! Yah! Good thing I only live about a mile from the shop because darn it's cold here
