Question Side light bezel and lens removal?

I have a '71 Supreme and I'm trying to get to the package tray. Anyone know how to remove the rear side lights, I think called the courtesy lights? I can't find anything in my book or wildaboutcars assembly manual docs. They look pretty brittle and I don't want to break them. Are there tabs on the lens that snap into the bezel?

Yes, there are tabs on the lenses and my experience is that they crack or crumble when you try to flex them. Fusick has them repop for $6.50 each (page 84).

Under the lenses the housing is held on with Phillips screws.

Use a small flat screwdriver & there are 4 tabs that hold the lens in the housing. Then there are 2 phillips screws in each housing. You might need to squeeze the tabs together that hold the bulb in the housing. You'll be lucky if you get them out without breaking the housing.

Thanks fellas. Good to know there are replacements. These old ones are looking pretty yellow anyway. I'll have a look on the website before I start.
Thanks again

Update: The lenses and bezels are on page 88 of the new catalog and are now $9.50 each. You got me close 2blu

Yup, they crumbled quite easily. Thanks for the replacement info.
