Hand Sewing Visors

The thread holding the edge binding onto the sun visor has rotted off. Thank goodness my wife can sew. Pretty easy but very tedious task to line up and get the needle exactly through the old holes! Thank God for the invention of the Thimble!!!

I've had to do the same...it really sucks hand stitching those...I had no thimble!
I did find a curved upholstery needle that worked great though

I had my mom do this exact same thing with my visors. I have her all poly thread in just the right color and she went around each twice to get all the stitches in.
It pays to have good relations with older folks who have a lot of time on their hands and know how to sew...
Saved me 100 bucks from having to get repros or recovers.

She did very good on sewing up my door pull straps also, but she said those were a lot harder than the visors due to the rubber core. Great job regardless!

You have the same interior color I have in my 72 Cutlass Supreme. Just completed mine with a lot of new and some old reworked pieces. Looks pretty good. Wiring was the pain the the butt part.
