Newbie with 71 Cutlass Town Sedan - full bench seat covers?
Hello. Recently joined. Having a hard time finding solid front bench (no armrest) seat covers - sienna brown. No problem finding split front bench covers though! My seatback is fine, really only need the cushion cover. Can I use the split bench cushion cover?
Any ideas on a source for solid bench covers? Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the forum Jeffery. I don't think you can use a seat base cover designed for the center arm rest. It will have cut outs in it for the arm rest supports on each side.
Did you try Legendary Auto Interiors out of Newark, NY? Give them a call if you don't see a listing for what you need on their website. www.legendaryautointeriors.com

I did, but I have not seen the solid bench sold there.
Best thing is to call them (Legendary) and see what they can do. They are very good and want to make you happy.
The 4drs and wagons are picking up in popularity and the differences between them and the 2drs are not that big. Same material and patterns, just different sewing and cutting. Those easy changes can bring them more business so they should be inclined to help.
I am tempted to call them myself and see what they can do.

Thanks for the info everyone. I will call Legendary and see what they say. My front bench has three sets of vertical strips (two in each seating position) and rectangular buttons. I will have to take a pic or two and upload. I agree that sedans and wagons are becoming more popular so I hope that someone will start making replacement covers. My rear seat and front seat back are in great condition, but the driver cushion is worn and cracked (to be expected). Thanks again!
Hopefully they will do Olds wagon covers but I wouldn't hold my breath.
The 3 seat Vista would need 4 sets with the split 2nd seat.
I would talk to Legendary like Rob said and also find a good local trim shop and see what they say.
It may be a lot cheaper to have one made or have that one repaired if it's in good shape otherwise.
I had to have my bench seat and rear cover made and installed at a trim shop using the old ones as patterns.
It wasn't cheap but only a few hundred more than buying them (if you could) and having them installed, padding and spring repair has to be done anyway.
I would guess at least a few hundred to do just the base, the vinyl cost is a lot of it, the labor isn't that bad for what those trim guys do, I'm still amazed when I look at my seats.
You can get Chevelle wagon bench and rear seat covers. The rear seat in a wagon is a lot different than a regular car but the basic stitching patterns could possibly be used.
Olds used different patterns for the seat covers for the wagon and the Vista, the wagon looks like the Cutlass Hardtop in the brochure.
I would think the Vista pattern is like some model but I'm not real familiar with the other Oldsmobile models.
Mine has round buttons and three stripes and all kinds of bumps and curves, 2 different grain patterns, stitching patterns, piping, carpet section on the lower back.
Notice the woodgrain? steering wheel in the brochure illustration.

I am guessing the front bench seat in the wagon is the same as as the front 4dr bench.
The general material style and pattern should be the same for the 2dr cars, so it is just a matter of different cutting and stitching, something Legendary should be able to do with a minimum of labor. And what they do for one car they can do for 100's down the road...
