Lets talk window sweeps 72 cutlass convt.

aka>belt weatherstrips
I bought an inexpensive 8 piece kit and the quarter window rubber sweeps are way too hard and thick to allow the 1/4 power windows to work well.
These have got to go to the bin.
Question is, who makes the softest window felts for my model?
I've seen Metro WC 7300-22 and WC 7300-41, sent them a message to determine what is the difference other than price.
Seen Restoration Specialties
T-5030-WS online.
Seen PUI
F242-2(think these are currently what I have).
Seen BOPparts
OL168ARPP7072 online and these are pictured like the originals, with the flat SS trim across the top, not the round SS wire on top.
Seen Steele Rubber
80-0521-57('original material style') and 80-0099-57('standard material style') online.

Anyone used any of these parts and can offer a suggestion for those most like original and as pliable?

thanks...

Got a response from Metro....
Hi,
Sorry about that and thank you for pointing it out. The WC 7300-41 is for a 2 door hardtop not convertible. I will get this information fixed on the website.
Thank you,

I also emailed Steele to see what the differences were too.

Great writeup on those pieces. Steele got back to me and stated their higher end pieces had more flocking than the standard sweeps. I wrote back seeking images of both.
In your 4th image, the part I'm referring to is the flap from the 12 o'clock position to the 3 o'clock position for the horizontally mounted sweeps at the bottom of each glass. I would
like one like the thinner one like the Steele one in your pic like the factory OEMs had.

The sweeps made by "Restoration Specialties" are generally considered The Best.

Thanks for the input. Do yo have any pics of them? They don't have a pic of their 8piece set online and Steele just replied saying they don't have pics either because, the set 'is made to order' and not typically stocked.
I found another supplier; Repops OL168A that may be in the running.

Mine have the polished flat SS(about 1/4" wide) strips across the top of the inner wipes.

Unfortunately no, plus my car is a '72 Supreme with the B85 trim.

I went with Repops for the win. Their strips are thin and pliable, like the originals and have the wider stainless caps for the interior strips. Their outer caps were of round stainless and the correct diameter.
Very happy had a manufacture date of less than 1month old.
