Replacing door window. Need help!

This is the bottom of my car door window. I couldnt get the holes to line up so I could screw it in so I had to this because it started raining. Is there a certain way this should be done?

Got it. Year and model and body style would help. Also a photo of the other end of the mechanism. Clearly something it not aligned correctly. Zoom out.
