My name is Joe and I am new to the forum.....Hope I am doing everything right as far as posting. I just bought a 1955 88 and I am having some work done to the engine. I have been scouring the internet looking for upholstery kits or a way to redo some of the interior myself. Does anyone know of any good websites that have patterns for these stock bench seats? Thanks!
You might try Ciadella Interiors out of arizona. https://www.ciadellainteriors.com/
They specialize in Tri-5 chevy interiors- the covers for those will be the same for your frames, though the "design" and fabrics may be different.
They may be able to replicate the oldsmobile design and make the covers for you to install- or you can just use the 55 chevy covers for your seats.
I've installed several of their sets and its very high quality stuff. They are also willing to custom make stuff, mixing and matching fabrics and designs onto other years seat cover templates. For example- this seat was in my friends 62 impala, but his wife wanted the 58 impala cloth instead of the correct 62 style... they made it for him, no problem.
WOW! What a beautiful interior. Thank you for the source. For me , this has been like a needle in a haystack. I am going to call and see what kit may fit my car.
Thanks so much for the info.

No problem...
Here is a 57 chevy I did for another friend- seat covers, door panels, headliner, rear armrest covers- all from Ciadella & the fit & quality was excellent.
Are there modifications required to fit or a Chevy foam kit and upholstery and it fits? I was told by several people that the Chevy seats were too different for it to work but I can’t imagine they can be that much different.
this will open up a number of options!!

If you had a Pontiac or Oldsmobile 55-57 seat frame photo to show me, i could compare it to the 57 chevy frame pics i worked on and tell you really quick.
I would be very surprised if they were different- but its possible.
Decent seat cores for those Tri-5's are stupid expensive anyore- so I'm sure its well known which other model seats will swap.
Ciadella sells their own install & foam "kit" that is pre-cut high quality sheet foam w/ a thinner layer of foam glued to the top of it w/ a slick backing on it to help the covers slide when being installed.
Again, Ciadella is an expert in Tri-5 vehicles, i would call them and ask about the Oldsmobile seat frames vs chevy seat frames, they probably will know.
SMS in Oregon will be your only source for original fabric. They are very expensive and you could wait awhile for delivery. Chevy seat interiors are not the same as Oldsmobile. If you are not concerned with the seat fabric being stock, any reputable auto upholstery shop could match up similiar fabric/vinyl and sew and stich close to factory specs. Hope this helps a liitle bit, good luck !
looks like a fixed back, non split seat out of a 4-door. They are a different frame from 2 door split back seats where the upper cushions lean forward.
A look at the underside of the frame would give some indication if its the same as the chevy version though.
I did call ciadella and spoke to a customer service rep. She did say that they can't guarantee that the patterns for oldsmobile and chevy are the same. She advised me to continue looking. I appreciate all the feedback and everyone's posts! Stay well,
Joe
