1969 442 bench seat mounting bracket

Hi Guys...I need some help. Where would I find the subject part? This is the part that attaches the bench seat to the floor [and allows the seat to slide back and forth]

Junk yards?

Any idea how many years used the same mounting bracket?

Thanks for the help

Which side? The 1968-1972 A-body cars (Chevelle, Lemans, Skylark, Cutlass) all use the same seat tracks.

Thanks Joe...I need both sides.

I found a 69 skylark at a local junk yard...should do the trick. I'd prefer to buy a new one, but all the restoration catalogs are telling me this part was never reproduced.

Slip and slide

When you get the seat tracks from the wreckers, don't forget to take the thin wire and clips too....this is for the adjuster on the pass. side and take the extra nuts and bolts for spares

Hi yellow;

Well, I got the new set of tracks. I got all the springs, clips, etc

On the seat tracks there where 3 springs, one on each track to lock the mechanism in place after you release the ****. But there is a third spring (larger than the other 2). I can’t remember where that spring goes, or what it does. The seat seems to go back and forth real nice. It does go back much easier than forward, so maybe the spring acted as an assist to bring the seat forward [which is up hill if you know what I mean]
