1968 442 headliner question

Having a issue with the new headliner from Legendary for my 68 442 Holiday Coupe. The 4th bow on the headliner is located just in front of the dome light but the holes in my roof for the 4th bow are considerably forward. Any ideas? How about other peoples car, same location as mine or was there different versions for 68, similar to other noted differences for the 68 model years.

what exactly is your question ? you have a 6 bow headliner and the third bow [from the front] is just in front of the dome light ,it is a thinner and shorter wire that clips into the headliner bow clips just in front of the dome light wire and that wire is missing in your pic . is it still in your old headliner ? in 68 there was 2 versions of headliners , a 5 bow and a 6 bow . 5 bow on early cars and 6 bow on later cars. . is your new headliner a 5 or 6 bow? you need to find the missing wire or bow . when you remove the bows to thread them into the new headliner mark what hole they come out of and make sure you put them back into the same hole.

Ok, well that answers my question, my new headliner is a 5 bow and I must have a 6 bow car missing the thinner and shorter wire you described. Thank you so much for helping me out. Dang, now I have to figure out about that 6 bow.

now you need to buy a 6 bow headliner, my April 68 built car is a 6 bow headliner and my November 67 and December 67 built cars are 5 bow. I 'll tell you what, I need a 5 bow headliner for my November 67 built car so I will buy your 5 bow if it is black, if that helps and I know I have an extra smaller wire center bow from a parts car I could send to you if you can't find your original one or a replacement nearby but you should be able to find one.
