On my 1970 Vista there is a narrow chrome piece at the top of each door panel. It has a small rubber flap connected to the length of it. Its purpose appears be to keep the window from rattling when down.


The rubber parts on mine are cracked and some have pieces missing.

Are those reproduced?

I didn't find the piece in the referenced location. It showed side window outer horizontal seal. I looked on the site for inner seal but only found felt seal.

Did I miss it?

In spite of claims on their website, Steele Rubber didn't have pieces for the Vista Cruiser. Their moldings don't have the upward curve to fit the rear doors and it would have been messy to try to adapt the pieces.

Steele customer service graciously gave me the name Restoration Specialties who have correctly curved pieces in kit 1100989.

I was amazed at the extent of the offerings at Restoration Specialties.

This would be a good name for y'all to keep in mind when you are restoring these older cars.
