Convertible top boot rail-need pics!

My body shop is reassembling my 72 conv after a repaint. They didn't take a photo of the area behind the rear seat and where the top rails sit when the top is down, and how the top well is attached.
Does anyone have any good pictures of this? Or a clear diagram?
Thanks.

you mean the part where the boot attaches to. It screws in to the top of the metal support right behind the back seat. There are about 5 or six screws. I'll look for an image but the screw holes should be obvious - unless they already installed the seat.

Thanks! i figured that part out and ordered one from Hydro-E-Electric (great people BTW).

I could still use a photo of the area where the top rails sit on either side of the back seat, to make sure mine is sitting correctly.
Thanks.

Steve,

you are always nice to answer everyones questions! I thought I would share some pics. I am at the end of a complete restoration. the engine is modified. 350, bored .040, custom cam, Edelbrock manifold, 800cfm SMI Quadrajet, 2.5" Flowmasters, 3.42 rear, 2400 stall Boss Hog Torque converter, and other little stuff! all Dynamat and Accusta Shield insulation. Hands free Bluetooth radio and sub woofer in the trunk. I'll post more when I'm done. check out my car show-www.mondaynightcarshows.com
there is a short video on the site. Let me know what you think!

Thanks, I try to help out as others have helped me often.

Wow, I see how I am going to stripe my 72 Cutlass when it comes time for that. Your car looks Unbelievable. I saw those side stripes or a variation of those before. Was searching all over and couldn't find them. As much as I like the idea of spending $500 on cheap OAI hood since mine is a Cutlass I am still leaning to keeping the stock hood just as you have - that plain straight hood is a site often unseen now-a-days. I also like the trunk mounted Bluetooth. I'll take look at that link later - especially if you have pics of the radio. Maybe PM me details of the system and speaker layout. That is the one thing my kids want is a "real" listening device in one of my cars :-)

Tony Moller gave me the idea, but I thought it would look better with the bottom of the stripes the same width as the bumpers so it would look like a continuation of the stripe. I think it works. It's Viking Blue with metallic pearl. the stripes are sprayed and under the clearcoat. i didn't mention that the wheels are 15" and the tires are 245/60/15 with SSBC brake dual piston calipers up front.
Before I did a lot of this, my car was in the JWO March 2016.

I see you guys are in the Chicago area. Do you have any trim shop recommendations for seat upholstery? I'd like to buy Legendary upholstery (front & rear) and have a shop install. (I had Don's in Alsip do the convertible top way back in the 80's.)

Tom,

I just visited M & M the other day in Midlothian. I would give them a call. My Uncle (owns the body shop where my car is at) has a show winning Wildcat and a show winning 87 Cutlass 2 door and he swears by them.
