68 Auto console

Got a quick question, hope someone can help with. Son and I are building a 68 Cutlass S. Over the weekend we scored a complete Auto shift console, shifter cable and a non-cracked console. The only issue is the mounting plate under the storage compartment looks like someone used a torch on it.
Found the bracket through online sites, but it shows 2 brackets. The repair manual we have at home only shows the larger mounting bracket.
Question is do we need the other bracket and if so where does it mount?

Been a great father son project!!

Two brackets for an automatic. You should get yourself an Assembly Manual. There are a couple of dimples in the floor if I remember correctly

THANK-YOU!! This picture was worth a lot. My book did not show the front console mounting bracket very clear. We appreciate you help.

I'm not aware of a repro source for the 67-69 console brackets. The two-bracket set is for the 70-72 console.
