What is the best way to "dye/paint" interior pieces?
Guys,
I ordered some interior pieces in black because I can't seem to find them in Gold like my interior, so that being said what is the best way/dye/paint to do them? I don't want them rubbing off or looking dark.
Thanks,
Jon

I used SEM products. Most important they have to be clean, when you think they are clean enough clean again. For the plastic parts use Dawn dishwashing soap then SEM Soap dry and spray with and an adhesion promoter then from black to gold maybe a SEM plastic primer then your SEM color coat.
For vinyl clean with SEM vinyl prep and then the SEM vinyl dye usually called classic coat.
I've done almost all the plastic parts and my dash they came out very nice. Good luck.

Agree on SEM they also sell in a spray can vinyl and leather or vinyl and plastic prep. I used that on my dash pad, it took several light coats until I was satisfied but my dash seriously looks better than when it came off the line. If going to change color to Gold I personally would have ordered the parts in white or biege.

The black will be harder to cover with a lighter color.
