Are these 64 door cards savable condition

As the title says, these are the door cards off my 64 project. This is the passenger but driver side is in equal condition. Are these restorable by a professional or just worth buying repops.

You cannot reproduce the embossing through an upholstery shop. You may be able to save the upper portion and redo the lower.

Thats not exactly true, but it won't be done the way the factory did...
A good custom shop would replicate that pattern using 1/8" solid landeau roof pad, trimming out lines where the embossing is, then glue or sew the vinyl down into the channels to replicate the pattern. At a glance it would be hard to tell its not original.

That said... SMS out of oregon will actually replicate and make dielectrically sealed door panels and seat covers the way the factory did... But they want big $$ for it since each one is a 1 off project. ...And you likely won't get them back for up to 2 years if you go that route (I don't like SMS and wouldn't ever recommend them if you can avoid it, but i have seen their 1-off door panels & seat covers and they are amazing). Dan Vasic (sp?) who has restored a number of uber rare & valuable 2-door post 69 SS chevelles has had them do the "300 style" door panels and seat covers which are not available reproduction- and their work is amazing... But it comes with the hassles of dealing with them.

Don't tell me it's 2 years...
I just put an order in for '65 F-85 club coupe door panels. (I didn't think the price was that bad compared to the Legendary and PUI)
With that being said, I believe they stopped taking orders for door panels(at least for awhile).

If you want to rescue the originals, you might give something like this a try.

Unfortunately SMS has a reputation within the industry as being terrible to work with- even for just getting raw upholstery material which is their primary business!
Only advice i can give if you are already in with them is to be patient to the extreme and realize they will eventually make good on it... but likely won't be good about providing updates or even a timeline during the process which is maddening since you have already paid...

Thanks for the info RAMBOW...I've got sometime before needing the pieces.
I'll just bide my time and try and check in when I can.
