Sun visors

On coupes what determined the long visors that clipped into the rear view mirror bracket or the short visors that didn't clip in? I have seen them both ways but always thought it was only the convertible that got the long ones until I saw several coupes with the long style. Was the long style an option?

Good question? I thought only the verts got the shorties. My 69 Holiday coupe has the long ones.

it was an option with a trim package, I don't remember which but someone on here once explained that the long ones on coupes were part of a higher option

My 1970 cutlass supreme has the long visors that clip into the rear view mirror. I have seen 1971 cutlass S and 1972 cutlass that have the short visors. It may be possible that only 1970 oldsmobiles had the long ones, but I do not know.
