The whole hobby is over valued now.

The demographics are now impacting the levels of participation and interest.

The majority of folks who are into cars form the 1960's are in their 60's and 70's.

In 20 years the majority of them won't be interested anymore.

The muscle car market is past it's peak.

The greater fool theory continues to thrive. I continue to be amazed.

Well, assuming we don't see it back on ebay in a couple of weeks... Wouldn't be the first time an item didn't stay "sold".

I have a few new emblems like this that I wouldn't sell for less than $200.00 ea.

As they say, supply versus demand - especially if there are no reproductions available...

I can't vouch for the quality of the repros, but they are available on ebay for a fraction of the Year One price. I bought more than one of the originals from GM back when they were available and N.O.S. quality wasn't that great, either.

If you have a $300K W-30 convert, then I guess $200 is a small price to pay.

Is that $300,000 the asking or selling price for that W-30 convertible? As we know there can be a big difference. Does anybody know of one that sold for that amount or close to it?
