I have a 1970 cutlass supreme with Blue Vinyl Bucket seats. I messaged Legendary and got a Seat sample from them but it does not look what I have, it is a little lighter looking than my original. Is this normal or is there another blue color for my car?
There was only one shade of blue for the vinyl seats in '70. After 50 years, yours would be discolored. I had a '70 Supreme SX back in the mid '70's with a blue bucket seat interior, and it was a lighter blue color. Post pics of your seats and the sample sent by Legendary.
Those two don't look the same to me, I would have expected the car color to be lighter than the new sample. Not the other way around. Worth some more investigation before ordering unless you are happy with the color as it is.

That lighter patch sure looks like 68-69 blue. The 1970 Olds blue interiors are similar to the 1969-71 bright blue Corvette interiors which I feel are among the most attractive shade ever. The 1970 blue has a green tint just like Viking Blue / Mulsanne Blue (code 26) paint that darkens it up and gives it a richness. If that isn't done correctly, the color looks wrong. I was smitten with this original blue interior at MCACN in November. I need to get this car into the registry database at sx455.com and I'll post pics there to highlight the beautiful original interior. Good luck getting the right shade - keep us posted.

I agree, the sample looks like it's from pre 1970 & too light colored. Having said that, my interior was lighter than yours, and lighter than the '70 SX vert pictured from Mcacn. I don't know if the Sx was restored or a survivor. Where the car was built can make a difference, as different plants located across the country would have different suppliers. I would call them, and see if they have a darker shade than what they sent you.
Apparently my memory sucks, as I just looked at my 1970 Color & Fabrics binder, and what your car and the SX have is pretty close to the sample in my binder, perhaps the only exception being that the sample and original material had a bit of a pearlescent sheen to them, which will disappear after many years of use and exposure.

That SX is an original owner, unrestored, 32,000 mile car. June 1970 Lansing build. It's going up for sale this year and they have an absurdly high appraisal valuation for it that will never be reached. That being said, it's a heck of a car and a nice benchmark piece from many aspects. Here are some other pics I took with my dedicated camera vs my iPhone.
That is a beautiful car. Maybe you can cut a small piece of the original fabric form someplace way down low like under a seat cushion and send it back for comparison, from that they may be able to find an accurate match.
This SX looks pretty much Identical to what my Car should look like. Mine is my 1st Car and have had it since 1980 but it has been off the road for a long time.
