Sail panel dome lights on a non-supreme?

I'm replacing the windlace molding on a '67 Holiday. I peeked and felt under the headliner looking for shoulder belt mount points (which I don't think are there) and found wiring on both sides heading towards the rear.

There are pairs of white, small ga. wires on each side. Could they have pre-wired these cars for those round, rear courtesy lamps mounted to the sail panels on supreme's? If so, repops are fairly cheap and I could add 'em. Cool upgrade.

I can't figure out why any wiring is present up there? This car keeps revealing surprises!

I suspect they were wired in from the factory. Harnesses in the 60's and 70's were pretty generic, so that allowed owners to purchase and install OEM accessories at their convenience to an already existing harness. I have 5 1970-72 dash harnesses and all of them are exactly the same, even though they came out of different optioned cars. I would say if you intend to install the sail panel lights, it should be an easy upgrade. Most of the sail panel light packages I've seen and have use a double wire, but one is orange and the other is white.

Thanks Allan_R, the wire pairs indeed may be Or/Wt. I couldn't imagine what else they would feed.
