Pillar Moldings

Anyone know, if all pillar post moldings were covered with vinyl/padding? I've had a 69 Cutlass and my current 69 442 and both were just painted metal.

Thanks

I've never seen one that was covered with vinyl. That does not mean it does not exist though.

69 models used both ...not sure why, but one of my cars has metal and the other car uses vinyl ...I guess it was either a supplier issue of some option code that determined the usage...

Didn't you just answer your own question? You have two cars with painted metal, so obviously not all pillar post moldings were vinyl covered. As noted, both were used.

I have a pretty nice set of black original padded A-Pillars if you are interested in them let me know. Off a 1968 Cutlass S 2 door post.

Thanks Todd
