Original equipment floor mat restoration and treatment

I just realized that I had removed the original 1972 vintage OEM GM "Oldsmobile" floor mat from my Cutlass 442 many years ago and they were stored in my attic. The car and the mats only have 47,700 actual miles on them (but, they still have 49 years of age on them). They are pretty nice but show some checking and slight cracking in a couple areas. I was wondering what would be best for restoration/maintaining of them and their plyability? They sure aren't as nice as the NOS set I bought last year but since they're serviceable and original they'll be the ones I use when it's done. Any experience and thoughts will be appreciated. I've seen some really neat tricks, methods and products on this site for maintaining our old Oldsmobiles!

Thanks ,

You might want to check with a company like Creative Colors International. Headquartered in the Chicagoland area, they have franchised locations around the US. They specialize in vinyl repair and restoration.

Looks like they do neat stuff but I was just hoping someone on here knew of an off the shelf product that would keep them more pliable and maybe look a tad better. They only have 47,700 miles of wear on them but do have almost 50 years of exposure so they are nice but not pristine. If I needed pristine, I'd have kept the NOS set that I just sold.....LOL!

Thanks for the info on the company......it may come in handy in the future.
