Pretty good work. I moved your thread to the interior forum, you don't have to keep posting in the newbie forum. Your first post was so good with all those neat pictures.

Are those the caps for the tire stems? I have a set that say "442" but I left them in the package.

Inventive youngun, are ya?

Yup- tire valve caps, that have gotten hard to find. Used to find them at any swap meet and sometimes at a parts store. Then here came the GM corporate lawyers, and neat stuff like that disappeared.

I had a set of those on the Bravada until I finally decided it was not worthy of wearing the Oldsmobile Rocket. They're in a small parts drawer now. Seems like there might be a set on the Hurst/Olds too. Airthang else just has plain old black plastic valve caps.

***

Anybody else remember those "anti-theft" lock ***** you used to get? Simple, straight and smooth- you couldn't snag those with a coathanger and pop the lock.

After once locking the keys in a car I had them on, and taking me over an hour to get in it, I decided maybe they weren't the best idea I'd ever had...
