interior questions and concerns

I am finishing my interior in my 71 cutlass vert. I went through hell removing and painting the dash now it time for carpet and sound dead stuff. First I bought some sound proof stuff from opgi and was wondering if it is any good. It looks black and is heavy it kind of reminds me of roofing material and has the sanding feel to it just like roofing material. I put it down and it looks good. Another question is it is worth it to buy some of the more modern sound deadners like duplimat or whatever it's called. Also, I need help installing the automatic console and the brackets that go under it. Sorry for the misspelled words and improper grammar.

There are quite a few threads on interior stuff Lady72nRob71 has a good one. The tar paper stuff is what the factory used originally. I used FatMat and another kind of heat deadener and was happy.
