interior panel design, 68 or 69 ???

'69 Cutlass 'S' convertable... I need to replace the rear inside quarter panels, the part just above the rear armrests. I got the new panel covers from OPGI ....here's the difference..the old (original?) panels are smooth, no chrome strip, only verticle pleats,,, the new panel has the diamond embosed design, (like the new seat covers, ) also has a chrome strip.......question; which one is correct for the '69 ???????????????? If I have to use these new ones with the diamond thingys,,and the chrome, then I will need to replace the door panels also , cause they are smooth and no chrome also, ..........thanks

The first picture looks just like mine in my 69 442.
Mine are off-white,but the same type material,
with the chrome strips. I ordered the complete kit
from Legendary, OUCH! They are beautiful though.
I would say if you can afford the fronts, you would be
very happy with them...

I realize that Legendary and PUI are about the only companys that make the new panels, and they both have the diamond embosserd design and the chrome strip, My main question is, why is my original panels are smooth and no chrome ?

I don't think that your originals were originals.
I also had a 69 cutty S. They had the the chrome
strips as well. I think someone may have recovered
your old ones in the past. My 69 442 had recovered
ones on it too. They didn't look good to me, so I went
with the ones from legendary.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
