Interior paint

I have a 1970 Cutlass S with pearl white interior. I'm looking to paint my a pillars and the pieces between the rear seats and window panel. I'm having a hard time finding a spray paint that matches. Anybody have any suggestions color/ product that will work? I can't find pearl white.. Thanks

Did you compare your car’s trim code to this factory color chart?

If you are looking for commercially-available paint in a spray can, you won't find a close match. The paint codes are in the Product Information Manual. TCP Global sells paint to these codes. They may even offer a service to package it in an aerosol can.

Ames Performance Engineering (GTO/ Pontiac parts) sells interior paint in aerosol cans. I used their parchment as a topcoat for a 69 Chevelle my brother and I restored a while back. I still had to buy "off white" vinyl dye to get the parts close to the correct color, but the spray-paint from Ames gave a pretty good topcoat to match the iridescent look of rest of the interior pieces. I think Classic industries and others sell the paints as well.

In the pics below, the headrests (originally green), front and rear arm rest bases (originally white) and rear arm rest pads (originally black) were all sprayed with this process.

For my 1971 pearl white, I brought in a piece of the vinyl to an automotive paint store and they formulated me a quart in a Dupont interior paint. I used an airbrush to spray several coats on the arm rests, etc. You need to clean the plastic good and then apply a coat of an adhesion promoter for plastic before painting

It worked out real well and matched.

Using an air brush is a good idea for smaller pieces in my opinion.
