Headliner and quarter window removal

Hey! I'm trying to remove the headliner of my 71 Cutlass S but I'm stuck with the seat belt attachements. I might have been stupid and missed a hidden bolt. Unfortunately I already broke one of those plastic moldings ( see picture below). Hope it's a standard GM part. Furthermore I would like to know the best way to remove the quarter window as I need to weld in that section.
Thanks!

I just did this a few weeks agon on my 72'. Take a flat head screw driver and pop the plastic cover off from the top. It is hinged on the bottom and will swing away to reveal the bolts that hold it in. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

What Joe said.....here's a pic of one with the cover "popped" and removed from the car..

Repro plastic covers are sold by The Parts Place (saw it in their online catalog today) and probably other repro vendors...approx $10 each.

On the quarter glass it's best to have the rear side interior panel out and you can then access all the various mounting bolts for the quarter glass and glass mechanism. Remove the panel and take a look around...you'll see what needs to be removed, etc.

Thanks Joe and 70post for yopur help! I get back at you as soon as I tried it. I hope there is a replacement cover because fusick and opgi don't have any. I already stripped the backseat area. I was just wondering if there's an easy way to pull out the quarter windows because there are plenty of bolts. I'm actually more scared about reinstalling them. On one side the window roller is already out of the rail for whatever reason. Still I can't pull it out

Btw thanks for the photo!
