Got two nasty vents and I'm getting two NOS ones to install with the mounting bracket. BUT, is there a way to pop the old vents out and install the new ones without getting up behind the dash to do it? I put the glove box in once and I could pull it out again but would rather not if I didn't have to?! Tnx

 

Looking through my service manual for something totally unrelated to my question was the answer. Apparently it's quite simple. You turn the "eyeball" 90% then you can pop the thing out of the socket. Easy-peasey, had the project done in about 5 minutes!
