I'm pulling the driver side door panel, but don't see how to remove the mirror control. Any help?

Since you didn't specify year or model, I'll ***-U-ME it is the car in your avatar. If so, go out and look at it again. Note the two holes in this escutcheon. Yours will have phillips head screws in them. Remove the screws, pull the escutcheon away from the door panel, and unsnap the C-shaped wire clip from the back. Note the C-shaped clip on the RH side of this photo.

 

Thanks! The c-clip was what had me stumped. I thought you'd know what year by now with all my posts!! LOL..

 

On some models, the remote toggle was attached to the door escutcheon with an allen screw. Mine is anyway - 1972
