Convertible mechanism cover color?

What color should these be if I have a 1970 with Pearl interior? Black? Or Pearl?

Mine were and are black, somewhere in the semi matte-semi gloss spectrum.

thanks! I could see they were originally Poo Brown like seats used to be but was not sure Pearl was right for a place that would commonly be dirty
