Console Shift Bulb

I have all the bulbs in the car working now except this one. Is there any way to access it w/o taking apart the whole console. The manual shows pulling off stick on foam, & I hate to do that.

Since you didn't tell us the year and model, we'll ASSUME it's a 70-72, since those are apparently the only cars Olds ever made.
If the "stick on foam" you're referring to is the adhesive holding the woodgrain panels to the console top. that's the easiest way to access the bulb and wiring. The alternative is to remove the console from the car.
