Bucket Seats

I am looking for a pair of bucket seats for my 1980 Cutlass. Anybody know of someone selling their's or a good junkyard? Somewhere close to the Houston area would be great.

They should be an easy find as there were a LOT of those cars sold with bucket seats. You might look into a "cousin", Gran Prix, Monte Carlo, etc.

Any 1978-1988 A/G body car with buckets is a donor.

Any of the same era B-Body & E-Body cars often used the same type of buckets the A/G cars came with.

A few others but LESS common :

Toronado XSC 1980-1981
Buick Riviera S-Type 1979-1980
Delta Holiday 88 1978-1981

Some other Rivi's of the 1981-1985 era had buckets as well ... but to this day I'm not even sure I have figured out exactly what that criteria was.

One would have thought all of the 81-85 T-Type's would have had them ... but I have seen plenty of T-Types that did NOT have them.

There's actually a couple of more rare cars they could be found in ...

Certain 79-85 Eldo's & 80-85 Seville's ... & I have even seen a showroom brochure of a 1980 Bonneville with them.

Again these were all somewhat rare even back in the day(s) they were made ... let alone all these years later.

Plus (regarding the 80 Bonne) ... showroom brochures are often printed way in advance & sometimes there can be changes in real world options & equipment on the cars that actually hit the street.

In other words ...

Just look at all the above as an interesting history lesson & assume your buckets will in fact come be coming from another A/G body car ... long before you find any of the others above.

But hey ya' never know.

Out of the rare stuff mentioned above ...

I'd say the 81-85 Rivi ones would be the ones you would most likely stumble upon loooonggg before any of the others.
