Bucket Seat Fold over Steel band

Hi.

I am looking for the part that is a plastic coated peice of one inch wide steel strap that you see when fold the bucket seat forward for access to the rear seat.

It is connected to the lean back and the other end is connected down at the base. When the seat is in the upright position it slides up into the lean back section.

It looks like it is made out of a peice of spring steel about an inch wide with a plastic cover on it.

My plastic covers have disentegrated and are gone.

I bought a pair a few years ago, but have forgotten where I got them.

Can you help me find some new ones?

The plastic only covers the bottom (exposed) portion. If you still have yours (sans plastic), you can use heat shrink tubing over the exposed part, use a couple layers and it will look as good as new.

you can also use plasti-dip like you would use on tool handles to coat it.

Those are repro'ed now. I don't recall who has them, but I've definitely seen some on ebay in the past.
