the push to fold the seat over button has to come out first, its just pushed onto clips, and then there are 2 screws that hold it under that , and 2 at the bottom of the seat back

the button piece is plastic, you have to gently with a plastic prybar start from one side and it will pop and then the other side to get it out , 50 year old plastic ,if you just pry, it will gouge or snap

After the screws are removed then push panel upward to unhook from tabs at top of seat.

You need to press inward on the Left & Right side of the button under the chrome flange, there is a metal retaining clip under the button that holds it in.
DO NOT PRY. if you try to pry up you will just break the flange and maybe the retainer clip. They are very fragile and easy to break.
Pair of narrow putty knifes work well, you need to push both sides in together then the button will pop out. Sometimes one side will pop out first, sometimes you have to do them both at the same time.

hope this helps!
