Best way to remove a seat cover

That you plan on putting back on.
My Drivers seat one of the spot welds that hold the seat back needs to be fixed. The drivers side upper (seat back) material has a tiny rip where it is sewn At the front to side near door.
No one makes repopped covers for the salon bucket seats So I want to remove the cover and then put it back on. If that fails, I'll be looking at having both seats recovered unless I get lucky and find the material used to match the rest of the car.
I rather not, and just take cover off, repair the frame weld and maybe patch from the inside where the small rip near seam is. Then put it back on.
Do I pull it off, like taking off a tee shirt pulling up from the bottom having it turn inside out as I remove it? or slowly work it off without it turning inside out.
Thanks. There is no funds in the budget to recover all the seats ATM. So I'd like to be able to reuse the original cover cloth.
Thanks, for any tips.

It's easy enough to start snipping hog rings and pull the cover off. Seat covers are actually very easy to deal with. Depending on where the welding needs done you probably don't have to take it all the way off

Think twice about turning inside out if the vinyl is getting brittle.
