Armrest pad removal 🤔

Hey all I'm looking at getting some new front door arm rest bases for my '72 Supreme but I don't need new pads. Is it easy to remove the pads?

The bases need to be removed first to access the screws that attach the pads

Inside the base. Easy way to go is buy the entire unit from a repop shop. A little more expensive, but pretty simple to install.

Thanks for the advice, but I have an opportunity to buy OEM units, but one of the pads has a few nicks. My pads are in perfect shape, but the bases are faded. So I just need to swap my pads onto the OEM bases.

I checked the ASM and the BSM and I couldn't find anything on the arm rests. Could some please post a pic or two?

Super super easy to replace the pads. Pull the bases and flip them upside down. Two screws.

I would paint the bases with SEM instead of changing them.

Dave - I saw the armrests you probably purchased already. I think you made a good choice especially on the color of your interior - those green armrests are the real deal throughout. I repainted mine and they turned out excellent. I've purchased items from ros6872 - good guy.

Thanks for the nice words. The ropos are nowhere near the quality fit and feel of original gm parts
