Trying to complete a AT column to console floor shift conversion started by a previous owner and have been unable to find a replacement light housing that mounts on the shifter. Does anyone know a source for replacements? Or maybe have a console out that could be photographed/measured to help me figure out if one could be fabricated? Also, what holds the shifter seal in place? Thanks.

 

i am assuming you are talking about a standard shifter and not the Hurst dual gate? i will have to look but i likely have an extra for the standard shifter. the one for the standard shifter mounts to the console and the one for the dual gate mounts to the shifter.

Did some digging in the manuals available online and it appears I have an aftermarket dual gate style console because the console body does not include attachment points for the shifter. The console is open from side flange to the opposite side flange that accepts the chrome plastic bezel. There will need to be some custom fabrication to make the std auto shifter and ancillary pieces work with this console because I am not interested in going the dual gate shifter route.
