69 Cutlass S glove box door

Hi Everyone,
Removed my current door (gold, because of crack) to replace with blue undamaged piece. Noticed that indented area around push button is different and on the reverse the latch does appear to be at a different angle. Does anyone know what year the blue door is from and whether I'll have issues trying to swap? ...Thanks..Bob

Probably just two different vendors for cars built in two different assembly plants. I'll bet the critical dimensions are the same.

gold one is 69, obviously since it came from your car, blue one in 68. the area around the lock is different between 68 and 69. and your pics illustrate the difference.

FOR JUNIOR:
That's my lesson learned for the day! All this time I thought the glove box doors were the same between '68 and '69. I've got both cars here at my house and I went out to look. Sure enough, they are different around the key hole area! I'm always amazed at what I learn on this site!

FOR BOB:
I do have an extra '69 glove box door out of a 4-4-2 if you are interested. It's blue and the wood grain strip is removed. I'm also thinking that '68 door will also fit and work fine.
