69 Cutlass interior in 68 Cutlass

My dilemma is this, I have a 68 Cutlass convertible that I want to put a red interior in.I like the lighter shade of red used in the 69 Cutlass model. If I order the 68 panels from Legendary with the 69 shade of red there will be a 20 % special order charge. I can order 69 interior ,but there's a difference in the location of the door lock. I think I can overcome this problem, but wanted to hear from you guys who are lot more familiar with this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't be spending what a Legendary door panel costs and then "overcoming" any problem. 68 has the wing window too and I don't think they are exactly the same (in addition to the door lock location)

The first time Legendary did my door panels they put the lock in the 69 location by mistake. They called me and told me they screwed it up and had to re-make the panels.

I thought I could move the door lock to match the 69 panel, but since you reminded me of the vent window I probably will just use the 68 dark red color.

By the way, I will need a donor passenger door panel for the metal form. I'll probably order the unassembled panels from Legendary.

If you buy the assembled panel it comes with a repro form (although I think it was plastic). They don't make a repro panel for the rear panels in convertibles.

Legendary screwed up my panels in my opinion I like PUI they come w upper metal half where as Legendary you have to send your old ones in. Well at least as of last summer.
The lock placement is different from 69 panels to 68

But Legendary I imagine would make whatever you wanted as well as they should for 450? give or take for front panels
