68 - 72 Door Cutlass 'S' Panel Emblem
I've seen some door panels with an 'S' emblem but most don't seem to have it. So not sure if that means the door panel has likely been replaced, the emblem fell off and wasn't replaced or not all cars/panels had that emblem. Any rhyme or reason to which year's/models would have that emblem? Trying to determine interior originality on a Cutlass and not sure if that is a reliable indicator or not.
Just had a thought...I'm specifically looking at post-coupes which have the vent window crank in the general area where I've seen that emblem. So, maybe the post coupes did not have that emblem because of the extra window crank???
Thanks!

All the 72 Sports coupes I've seen have it. My car for sure has it. As far as post coupes, the emblem is set in the center of the door panel so it doesn't have any interference with the vent window at all.

It's interesting that the 70 post doesn't have the emblem on the door panel. I looked at several pics of the 70 post interior and couldn't find the emblems either, but I did find 69 and 71. Someone who would know this information is Patton Glade (goes by 70Post on this site)
